Do Your Old Thoughts Keep You Stuck?

Hello friends!

Welcome to 2025! This January, Conversations with Bizzy is diving into a theme that’s been on my heart: “Letting Go of What No Longer Serves You.”

The new year is always a great time to dream big and set goals, but I’ve found it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the past—learning from it, not dwelling in it. Looking back at 2024, I’ve realized there are some patterns and decisions that just don’t serve me anymore. I’m determined to release them!

For me, peace, serenity, and quality time with the people I love have become my priorities. I’ve also learned (the hard way!) not to rush into relationships or commitments that aren’t right for me. Yep, some mistakes cost more than others—literally and emotionally! But instead of beating myself up, I’m asking,“What can I learn from this? How can I make better choices in the future?”

Here’s another big realization: I haven’t always given myself enough credit. For years, I let self-doubt and old stories from my past hold me back. Buthere’s the truth: I am smart. I am capable. And I can do anything I set mymind to!

We all carry childhood wounds that can resurface in our adult lives. In the past, I would drown those feelings with busyness or distractions (hello, drinking). But now, I face them head-on—and let me tell you, it’s freeing!

One of the things I’ve embraced is learning new skills, even if they seem intimidating. Case in point: technology. In 2024, I leaned into the magic of Google, YouTube, and even ChatGPT (shoutout for teaching me how to use my digital calendar!). It’s empowering to tackle challenges on my own—and it’s are reminder that we’re never too old to learn.

My grandmother worked into her 70s, and I think she was onto something.Staying curious and challenging ourselves keeps our minds sharp and our spirits alive. So, this year, I’m giving myself permission to embrace new tools, face my fears, and grow in ways I never thought possible.

Let’s not let old, limiting self-talk keep us from becoming the brightest versions of ourselves. This is our year to shine!

With love and light,
Bizzy
