Episode 276- Sure Fire Tips to Help You Enjoy the Holiday

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

JF and I talk about what helped us from the start of our recovery to today.

Enjoy the tips!

1. Take care of you and protect your sobriety like you would your loved ones! This is a gift cherish it!

2. Make sure you have a way out of any situation or don’t go! There are many triggers over the holidays! Don’t go or leave if you start feeling squirrely. You start feeling anxious go! Or call someone that will listen and not judge!

3. Bring what you like to drink! We can’t expect others to have what we need so bring it with you! I have a new recipe for a mock-tail called the “Mistletoe” see below for recipe.

4. If you attend AA meetings they happen around the clock at Alcathon in person and on Zoom! The best think to come out of the pandemic is Zoom AA meetings you can go anytime and any weather. You don’t even have to brush your teeth lol (a little humor)

5. Be proud of yourself!!! You are doing this for you and each hour, day you stay sober is a gift in fact it is the best present you could give yourself.

6. Have fun, Rule 62 don’t take yourself too seriously enjoy you and your huge accomplishment!
