Call to Action
/Call to Action for 2017
What are we all so afraid of?
According to the CDC, more than 52,000 people died from a drug overdoses in 2015. Since 2000, more than 300,000 Americans have lost their lives to opioid overdoses.
In 2015, over 10,000 people were killed in drunk driving accidents. Officials from the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration say 2016 could see a dramatic increase in drunk driving incidents from 2015 once the numbers are tallied.
Are these statistics enough to do something?
My mission for 2017 is to spread the message that it’s ok to ask for help!
No more waiting till it is too late! Too many people call me when they are in the depths of dealing with a problem that doesn’t have many ways out. Alternatively, if decided to ask for help before you’re on fire you could have many different avenues to explore. People feel too ashamed to make a call, so instead they live with a secret that is beyond debilitating; it is life threatening! Addiction is a DISEASE!!! Please ask for help for yourself or your loved ones before it is too late!
