Episode 432- Exploring Self-Doubt: Navigating the Inner Critic

REALLY!!!

My First time posting a video directly to my website! I hope it works…Enjoy

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~Carl Jung

In today’s episode I talk about going down the self doubt rabbit hole... It feels extremely yucky and self deprecating.

We all wonder….”is this it?”

Life is all about the ebbs and flows…nothing is stagnant including your feelings. We never stay in one spot, we can always change.

It takes courage to change and I know that You are Courageous!

Life is a journey and finding the right recovery for you is imperative, it is life or death.

So many options…it’s like a buffet of choices. Which choice is right for you?

Today I talk about what choices are available and what choice was right for me and why.

Recovery Dharma: Buddhist approach

Refuge Recovery: Buddhist approach

Women for Sobriety: Helping women recover from substance use disorders

Episode 429 - From Lesson Plans to Silver Screens: Holly Carney's Unwavering Faith Journey

Holly Carney

Holly Carney and her husband John Carney, NFL Place-kicker [23 years], began fundraising through their 501c3 Kick Start for Kids which raised over 60% of the revenue for Freshstart Surgical Gifts, in their first thirteen years. Today, Freshstart has its own wing in Children’s Radys Hospital. Holly and John went on to open several more 501c3s: Breaking the Walls of Jericho to help teens in crisis, Dinner with the Pros which aided several Catholic Charities in Southern California, The John Carney Foundation to aid families in need, and God’s Rave which gathered youth groups for the summer months to allow youth ministers a rest and support.

As an educator, Holly wrote a children's book regarding step-mothers and produced a song to accompany her book. Holly opened her first company to launch an online store for her children’s book Wicked Not, along with apparel and cards for blended families.

Over two decades, Holly created and wrote curriculum for a variety of elementary school, junior high and high school programs involving athletics and faith formation. In parallel, her enthusiasm for creating and teaching transitioned into her passion for producing family friendly films and development for content in film and television.

Holly began her career in the film industry as a Development Executive for the Independent Film space. Holly works alongside her adult children, JD Carney and Kiki Carney, to make a difference leaving a positive impact on the culture through film.

I enjoyed our conversation and I’m sure you will too!

Episode 428- Is It the First Drink or the Last Drink that gets you Drunk?

My answer forever was the last drink or maybe one in between the first and the last but I was wrong….

Listen to my story!

Being an alcoholic or problem drinker does not mean you are a bad person!

Remember you have a disease in my opinion.

My podcast is always my opinion and you don’t have to agree with my opinion. All I can tell you is that I have been sober for almost 18 years and if you have a problem with alcohol I get it I’ve been there…

You are not alone.

I hope you enjoy today's show.

Episode 427- Journey of Faith: From Medjugorje to Ministry - A Conversation with Ann Vucic

Ann vucic

During this season of Lent and Passover I felt it was important to focus on God and people that have unwavering faith and commitments to God.

One of my biggest personal beliefs is that long term sobriety only happens when you have some sort of relationship with God.

I have spoken about God’s little winks and this podcast is an example of one of his winks. I recently reached out to a friend looking for an introduction to someone that would lead me to Ann Vucic. Now, I’m so excited to share our conversation with you.

Ann talks to me about her remarkable journey, beginning with her birth in a quaint village just two miles from Medjugorje. At the age of two, her family immigrated to the United States. Still, Medjugorje never left Ann.

Have you ever heard of Medjugorje? I hadn’t until four years ago, and since hearing about it I couldn’t wait to go!

Please listen to Ann’s story of unwavering faith and devotion. I hope you find it as encouraging as I did!
